Agrian Named Ag Business Award Winner
The Fresno Chamber of Commerce and Baker Peterson Franklin are proud to announce the winner of the Ag Business of the Year, Agrian Inc.
The 2018 Ag Business Award is awarded to an organization which exemplifies a leading for-profit ag organization whose achievements and impact have significantly contributed to the ag industry and the Central Valley.
Agrian is an Ag software company that helps growers and agronomists simplify their workflow by providing precision, agronomy, and compliance in one platform. Agrian’s cloud-based software created a paradigm shift in the industry by moving the Ag industry away from documenting their practices with a pen and paper and pushing them towards electronic record keeping. This company also boasts the largest crop protection label database in the world with 11,000 manufacturer-reviewed labels.
With 140 employees in Clovis, Armenia, Canada, Brazil, and Nepal, Agrian’s software has documented over 1,000,000,000 treated acres.
“We are honored by this recognition,” said Nish Majarian, CEO and co-founder of Agrian. “We would not be the company we are today without exceptional clients and the best team in the industry. We are grateful for what we have achieved and look forward to the future.”
“Agrian has a distinguished record of positive leadership, entrepreneurship, and service to the agriculture industry and our community making them the 2018 Ag Business Award recipient,” said Baker Peterson Franklin Marketing Director Julie Maldonado.
Past BPF Ag Business Award recipients include: Bee Sweet Citrus of Fowler, Booth Ranches of Orange Cove, Hall Management of Kerman, HMC Farms of Kingsburg, Gar Tootelian of Reedley, Sun-Maid Growers of California, Allied Grape Growers of Fresno, National Raisin Co. of Fowler, Woolf Enterprises of Fresno, Producers Dairy Foods of Fresno, and Wawona Frozen Foods of Clovis.
